
Tyrone's background experience includes work in Mining, Utilities, Facilities and Extraction areas. He is experienced in estimating and installing instrumentation upgrades, as well as designing instrument shop layouts for new plant construction, instrument shut down planning, and acquisition of instrument shop equipment.
Through his involvement on many plant site projects Tyrone has earned a reputation for creating innovative solutions to difficult problems. It is his nature to constantly search for better solutions and to maximize the results of current solutions. Tyrone was promoted to the position of Extraction Team Leader for Electrical and Instrumentation in 2004
In 2005, after 20 years, Tyrone left his employment with Syncrude to pursue his interest in developing his own company. He completed the Aboriginal Entrepreneurship Certificate Program (AECP) and established the Bayzik Oilsands Electric companies later that year.
Tyrone is an active member, and currently a Director, of the Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) - a non-profit organization that promotes businesses, jobs, and training that support native people in the Wood Buffalo region.
